Castelhanos Beach

This beach is east of Ilhabela, and can be accessed by speedboat or 4x4 jeep. The 22 km Off Road trail in the middle of the Rain Forest reaches 800 meters above sea level, where you can see a stretch of sand of Castelhanos beach. At the end you have to cross a river of crystal clear waters to reach the beach. By speedboat, the visitor has the opportunity to find other beaches along the way, like Fome Beach and Eustáquio Beach. Due to its difficult access, the beach still preserves its lush natural beauty with little infrastructure. The wide and smooth 1 km strip of sand is the biggest in Ilhabela. The trail to Gato Waterfall is also included in the travel agency packages. This is an easy 30 to 40 minute hike. The grand prize at the end is a showering 50 meter waterfall, which forms a pool and is ideal for a relaxing bath.

Infraestruture: Currently, the beach has four bars. All of them serve appetizers, drinks and meals.

The Jeep rides are generally out from Villaggio Assis at 10am returning 17:30. In addition we also have a boat that takes our guests for a super special prices to this beach.
