Bonete Beach

Located at the southern tip of the Island, the right side has perfect waves for surfing, and the left has calm and peaceful waters. Harboring the largest and most traditional native community in the archipelago of around 100 families, Bonete is a world apart inside Ilhabela. The beach has 600 m of white sand and is surrounded by umbrellas.

Infrastructure: The beach has a few bars, which sell beverages and seafood restaurants.

Getting there: The best way to get to Bonete is by boat. The trail by land is 15 km which crosses the Laje and Areado waterfalls and takes 4.5 hours to hike.
